Brisbane City Botanic Gardens
Situated close to the heart of Brisbane and not far from our accommodation near Prince Charles Hospital, the riverside City Botanic Gardens are one of the locals favourite spots for relaxing in the outdoors. Highlights include the Bamboo Grove, Weeping Fig Avenue, lily ponds, ornamental bridges, picturesque pavilions, and much more.
Raven Street Nature Reserve
Located just a stone’s throw from our accommodation in North Brisbane, the Raven Street Nature Reserve is part of the Mountains to Mangroves Corridor which protects plants and wildlife between the D'Aguilar Mountain Ranges, Boondall Wetlands and Moreton Bay. During your stay you can explore lush eucalypt and wetlands teaming with rare birds, lizards and mammals.
Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha
Considered Queensland’s premier botanic gardens, these beautiful and expansive gardens are full of delights and surprises at every turn. Themed gardens include a scented garden, beautifully manicured Japanese Gardens, a Bonsai tree house, arid and cactus zone, tropical display dome, patches of cool rainforest and a Children’s Hide and Seek trail. If you’re visiting at the weekend, head to the Auditourium to check out the horticultural show and exhibits. A must-visit during your stay, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Cooth-tha are within easy reach from our accommodation near Prince Charles Hospital.
