Services & Facilities FAQ’s

General information about our accommodation services and on-site facilities.

Q: Is there Internet or WiFi access available?

Wifi is available for up to 5 devices per apartment.  You will need to get a password from reception.

Q: What facilities do you have?

You will sleep on a pillow top latex mattress, enjoy views from private spacious balconies, relax on a leather lounge suite, and swim in our heated swimming pool or laze on the sundeck. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, FREE Wifi wireless internet and FREE secure under-cover car parking (subject to availability).  24 hour check-in is available.

We have also partnered with Snap Fitness Chermside to provide our guests with FREE Gym Access 24/7. Snap Fitness Chermside is conveniently located just 50m walk from our door step & offer the latest gym equipment, Group Fitness Classes & 24/7 access.

Onsite is an award winning Italian restaurant, Bella Cosi. We offer business services and there is an apartment suitable for disabled wheelchair access. Child friendly and secure apartments await you.  Limited parking is complimentary, and subject to availability.

You will be greeted with a friendly smile by the management team at the Chermside Apartments.  

Q: Is there car parking available?

FREE Secure and Under cover parking – limited spaces.  5 Under cover visitor spaces and ample on street parking directly outside the Hotel.  Please note that we do reserve some spaces throughout the year for Defense Force personnel and their families when they return from deployment or when relocating within Australia – we thank them for their service and think it’s the least we can do. 

Q: What is the breakfast?

As part of our community breakfast project, we provide a FREE “At-Home-Style” breakfast to all of our guests. We are aware that many people stay with us while visiting the Prince Charles & Holy Spirit Hospitals as well as the many specialists located in our immediate vacinity, and as such they are away from their family and support network – so all our staff take turns to donate their time and food to provide this free breakfast service between 7-9am every day. It’s a great way to start your day!! Please join us for a selection of fresh fruit, OJ, cereal, toast and tea & coffee.

Q: Is all linen provided?

All linen is provided free of charge.  Pool towels are available from reception.

Q: How often are the rooms serviced?

Services depend on the rate booked.

Usually Non-Refundable rates have NO SERVICE as they are very advantageous, cheaper rates.

Daily service can be requested (extra charges may apply)

Q: Is the pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated.  

 

Booking & Check-In

Information about bookings, payments and check-in.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 2 pm

Early check-in can only be granted on the day before checking in and is subject to availability.  We will do all we can to accommodate your request, but you cannot “book” an early check-in, in advance.  If you definitely require the apartment/room before two p.m. on the day of check-in, you will need to book and pay for an additional night.  If someone else books the room or apartment, we cannot guarantee that it will be available.  We are always happy to store your luggage for you, and will do our best to accommodate your request.

Check-out is by 10 am

A late checkout can only be granted on the day before checking out and is subject to availability.  We will do all we can to accommodate your request, but you cannot “book” a late check-out in advance.  If you definitely require the apartment/room after midday on the day you are checking out, you will need to book and pay for an additional night.  If someone else books the room or apartment, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to stay on.  We are always happy to store your luggage for you and will do our best to accommodate your request.

Q: Do you require a security bond upon check-in?

We require full payment prior to arrival and upon check-in we pre-authorise the guest’s credit card for a variable amount of $1 to $500 depending on the date (event date, full house etc.) in order to open up an account for any extra charges that might occur during the guest’s stay.

If the guest can’t provide a credit card, a cash deposit of $500 is required upon check-in.

Q: Is after hours check-in available?

Yes – we have an after-hours safe, and we will text you with the details of access when reception closes.  You do not need to worry about getting to the Apartments before reception closes.

Q: Can I have a late check-out?

A late checkout can only be granted on the day before checking out and is subject to availability.  We will do all we can to accommodate your request, but you cannot “book” a late check-out in advance.  If you definitely require the apartment/room after midday on the day you are checking out, you will need to book and pay for an additional night.  If someone else books the room or apartment, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to stay on.  We are always happy to store your luggage for you and will do our best to accommodate your request.  Late check-out rates are charged by the hour after midday.

Q: When do I have to pay a deposit?

We take full payment for the stay before arrival. This allows a faster check-in procedure and guarantees the rooms booked.

Q: What are the reception hours?

Our Reception hours are now from 7am to 7pm everyday.

General information about our location.

Q: How close is Brisbane?

We are in the middle of the Northern suburbs of Brisbane.  The city is 12 kilometres south.

Q: Are there shops or restaurants nearby?

Bella Cosi, an award winning Italian restaurant is on the ground floor at the front of our building.

Queensland’s largest shopping centre is at the end of our street.  Westfield Chermside has 409 stores, and has over 144,000 sq metres of retail area.  There are two food courts, and many restaurants and cafes throughout the complex.  There is both a Coles and Woolworths supermarket.

Entertainment facilities include an Event Cinema 16-screen cinema complex and a 26 lane Hyperbowl Bowling Centre.

Q: Is there public transport nearby?

The Chermside Bus Station, a major hub for buses servicing the northern suburbs of Brisbane, is at the end of the street.  The nearest train station is 4 km away.

Q: What local attractions are in the area?

Apart from the shopping centre and the cinema complex, there are two parks close by, with children’s playgrounds and exercise equipment. The Chermside library is a short walk away.  Just behind the library is the Chermside Aquatic Centre with a 25 metre heated outdoor lap pool, an outdoor fitness area, a water park with six waterslides and lagoon play area (with separate entry – summer only), and a heated 16 metre indoor programs pool.

Q: Where can I buy groceries locally?

Coles is at our end of the shopping centre, Woolworths is at the other end.  There is an Aldi 600 metres away on Gympie Road.
