Splash around at Chermside Aquatic Centre & Waterpark
Featuring a 25 metre heated outdoor lap pool, perfect to swim in all year round; plus a 16 metre, heated indoor programs pool; and a lagoon area and water park with six different waterslides. There are more than 200 metres of twisty slides, with shot guns, double-person tube and the Flume of Doom to keep the kids entertained all day.

Shop, eat and play at Chermside Shopping Centre
Not only does Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre boast some of Australia’s favourite retailers with over 500 stores to browse, but it has great facilities for children. Parents can shop in comfort knowing that the kids are taken care of with great child-minding services or they can play in Kid’s Activity Area.
The Parkland Pavillion Food Court Play Area: located on level 1 is a child friendly space that has interactive musical equipment and a grassed area. Or the Level 2 Outdoor Dining Precinct Play Areaincludes slides, climbing equipment and other fun equipment.

Take a picnic lunch to Burnie Brae Park
Enjoy the great outdoors and take the kids to Burnie Brae Park for a play and a picnic. The park features plenty of open green space for the kids to run around, play with a Frisbee or kick a football. Plus it has a great shaded playground and fitness circuit with gym equipment. After a work out, picnic in the shade under large trees or at one of the BBQ areas that have picnic tables and seats. Burnie Brae Park is located at 60 Kuran St, Chermside.
Hike it to Chermside Hills
The Chermside Hills Reserves have a fantastic network of natural bushwalking areas. Enjoy a bushwalk through the Australian native forest with a range of walking tracks and trails to select from.
Afterwards enjoy a picnic or BBQ utilising the reserve’s great facilities.
